Jewish Care depends on its dedicated volunteers. Increasing numbers of these are coming through corporate partnerships nowadays.

We’re always looking for new partners to work with Jewish Care. This does not only bring benefits to our charity. There is growing evidence that employees who take part in volunteering work as part of their job feel more positive about and loyal towards their employer.

Currently, our activities are restricted by Covid-19, but there are still many ways your company or organisation can get involved in volunteering with Jewish Care on an organised basis.

More companies than ever are signing up for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes which actively encourage their workforce to volunteer in the charitable sector.

This volunteering can be done through organised team events, through the development of individual volunteering roles or even by providing professional services on a pro bono basis.

Many employers are finding that this is a cost-effective vehicle for building their workplace teams, that not only brings benefits to individual volunteers, but that also generates measurable goodwill for the organisation that provides them.

All your organisation needs to do is to commit to giving staff time off to volunteer during the working week.

  • We’ll put together a programme that best suits your organisation’s needs, and tailor the project to include the skills and interests of the team members.
  • Our wide geographical reach allows us to accommodate you at the most appropriate Jewish Care resource.
  • We encourage the use of printed company clothing, e.g. branded t-shirts.
  • Our resource staff members will meet and greet the team attending and will host the day’s events.
  • We will ask your employees to complete feedback evaluation forms and would ask you for consent to use any photographic materials taken on the day.
  • Volunteers with IT skills can teach our clients, some of whom are visually impaired, to use Windows, Excel, Skype, email, and surf the net.
  • Volunteers can provide pro bono professional services
  • Volunteers could share travel experiences with residents through virtual interactive tours.
  • Volunteers can share their love of music or discuss their interest in politics with our residents and service users, and play board games or cards.
  • Our flexible structure allows us to create focused volunteering opportunities that meet your team’s interests and schedule.
  • Training will be given to any individual who would like to take on a role that requires specialist training.

Baking, indoor bulb planting, making table decorations, running a quiz, bingo, Wii, playing music, karaoke, manicures, board games, indoor bowls, dancing, painting garden furniture and gardening.

If you’d like to talk to us about how you could help, we’d love to hear from you.
