Jewish Care’s work would simply not be possible without the support of our many dedicated volunteers.

We’re always looking for more amazing people to join us. A couple of hours of your time could make a huge difference to someone’s life. So please have a look round and see if there’s anything you can do to help.

“It’s really wonderful to be able to help people and it’s nice to see the community and the recipients of the Meals in Wheels and have a chat with them when I drop the meals off.”

I volunteer in my local Jewish Care home. We are so short staffed at mealtimes and there is only me and 1 other volunteer-we really need more volunteers. I would like to speak to someone about it.

Thank you for your concern. We always try and ensure the best experience for our residents so your concern is appreciated. It’s best you mention this to the supervising staff member who you volunteer with in the home. Alternatively, you may like to contact your local volunteer manager and she will speak to the staff in the home and offer to recruit additional volunteers for these busy times.
