Our mental health services help people to access the care and support they need.

We offer three types of mental health services:

  • Two residential homes
  • A dedicated social work service for people living with severe and enduring mental health difficulties
  • Our partner organisation Jami provides treatment and support to people with general mental health needs

Our mental health social work service helps people who are living with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. This could be people who have had a past hospital stay due to their mental health or have a history of mental health crises.

The dedicated mental health social workers can help you or the person you are supporting to identify and access the right level of care and support.

They are highly experienced in:

  • navigating the mental healthcare sector
  • understanding complex mental health issues
  • assessing and managing risk
  • supporting people who reach crisis point
  • identifying the right pathways of support

To find out more about the mental health social work service please contact the Jewish Care Direct helpline on 020 8922 2222 or email helpline@jcare.org

Jewish Care Direct will listen to your situation and refer the case to the social work service if this is the right service for you. The social work service will go on to assess your needs and level of risk, and then identify the right pathway of support. Alternatively, Jewish Care Direct will signpost you to other relevant services that can support you.

Jewish Care Direct does not provide crisis out of hours support.

For urgent medical matters please call emergency services on 999. For non-urgent medical matters, you should call 111.

If you have a social care matter that you feel cannot wait until office hours, please call your local authority’s social services. They provide out-of-hours support for urgent matters. You can find their contact details on their website.
