Volunteers play a key role in supporting our fundraising team deliver a range of high quality events such as our Topland Lunch, Business Breakfasts, Woman of Distinction Lunch, Bridge Extravaganza, Golf Days, Local Angels lunch and a range of local committees supporting our care homes.
Each event raises valuable funds to help Jewish Care continue its work supporting older and vulnerable people in the community.
Committee members come from all kinds of backgrounds and bring with them a unique and valuable contribution to the planning and organising of the event. This can involve:
- Recruiting participants and guests
- Sourcing auction prizes
- Securing advertising and sponsorship
- Helping decide the theme and focus of each event
- Advising on the choice of speaker or entertainment
Join a Young Jami Jewish Care Committee
All our committee members are aged between 21-35 and come from a variety of different backgrounds. They bring with them unique, valuable and creative ideas for events as well as contributing to the planning and organisation of them. This can also involve:
- Recruiting participants and guests
- Sourcing raffle prizes
- Securing advertising and sponsorship
- Helping decide the theme and focus of each event
- Advising on the choice of speaker or entertainment
- Creating ideas for new events
