“Jewish Care saved me at the lowest point in my life.”
After his wife of 42 years passed away, Sam faced coming home to an empty house and wondering how he would fill the days ahead.
Then he found Jewish Care – and with it, friendship, purpose and a reason to look forward to the week ahead.
After being introduced to Jewish Care’s Thursday Lunch Club, Chats That Chat and Connect@Redbridge, Sam says, “The warmth and love of the people there was unbelievable. They took me under their wing.”
Jewish Care has helped Sam rebuild a life filled with friendship and connection. It has also helped him reconnect with Jewish life and community at a time when he needed it most.
Today, many people in our community face the same loneliness and isolation that Sam experienced. Some struggle alone, unsure where to turn, while others risk becoming increasingly isolated without the right support.
Jewish Care provides this support but only because of the community’s generosity. Because we don’t receive government funding to deliver these services, we rely on voluntary income.
Please donate today because your gift could help others like Sam find friendship, community and hope – and help make Jewish Care the best part of their week too.
