Set on our new Sandringham campus, Wolfson Assisted Living is part of the Anita Dorfman House care home. Residents live in large, self-contained living spaces in a fully serviced care environment.

The open-plan spaces offer residents quality care and support with more independence. These brand-new facilities provide a modern, Jewish environment, purpose-built to the highest standards.

Wolfson Assisted Living and Anita Dorfman House opened in 2019, replacing The Princess Alexandra Home. They build upon the expertise and dedication of the staff, volunteers and lay leaders of the previous home, while offering the very latest facilities.

Wolfson Assisted Living is made up of 16 single room flats on the top floor of the care home. We designed them to give residents independence in a bright, functional living space, with staff on call all day, every day.

Each one has a spacious living area that includes a lounge for relaxing, kitchenette for making refreshments, bedroom for resting and an en-suite wet room. The private balconies give attractive views of the surrounding area, making them a truly special place to take in the scenery. There is also a communal lounge and dining room where residents come together to share meals and socialise.

Residents are not just part of the care home community, but also the wider campus community. They have lots of options when it comes to joining in activities and events. They are welcome to enjoy the activities at Anita Dorfman House, with trips, outings, entertainment, and much more. They can also become members of The Ronson Family Community Centre, dine in the restaurant, and use the shop and other facilities on the campus.

A tasty, nutritious and kosher meal for every breakfast, lunch and supper.

Wolfson Assisted Living and Anita Dorfman House are supervised by the Kosher London Beth Din (KLBD). The care home uses fully kosher certified food products and suppliers.

We place traditional Jewish values at the heart of all we do at Jewish Care. That’s why we ensure that every breakfast, lunch and supper served in our care homes is tasty, nutritious and kosher (or kosher-style). All our services use kosher ingredients and recipes, and our staff are trained in preparing food in a kosher way. Please contact us to find out more about this.

Meals at Wolfson Assisted Living

Residents have their own kitchenette in their room, meaning they get to store and prepare their own kosher refreshments and snacks.

They do not need to worry about making their own meals, as breakfast, lunch and dinner are all made and served at Wolfson Assisted Living. Residents have the choice to eat together in the dining room or in their own room.

The team of skilled chefs plan and prepare a varied menu of meals each week. They meet with residents and relatives to ensure that they cater to every palette.

Mealtimes are social times, where residents enjoy tasty kosher meals together. Traditional foods help residents remember and mark key moments in the Jewish calendar; challah on Shabbat, doughnuts for Chanukah, honey cake for Rosh Hashanah and hamantaschen for Purim. These are all part of what makes Jewish life so important in our homes.

Some residents may have difficulty swallowing their food (dysphagia). Wolfson Assisted Living can provide a wide variety of enjoyable and nutritious pureed kosher meals, in partnership with the Hospital Kosher Meals Service (HKMS).

Make your visit a day to remember with some great things to do and see in the area.
