The Bridge Extravaganza Committee raised an incredible £100,000 for Jewish Care at their second online Bridge Extravaganza tournament. The tournament attracted over 280 players, raising a phenomenal amount for Jewish Care’s core services.
In 2012, the Bridge Extravaganza achieved a Guinness World Record for having raised the most money cumulatively for charity.
Patsy Bloom and Susan James, Bridge Extravaganza Committee co-chairs said:
“This year, not even a global pandemic would stand in our way of continuing our annual tournament.”
Adam Overlander-Kaye, Director of Fundraising and Community Engagement, Jewish Care, said:
“The Bridge Extravaganza Committee never ceases to amaze us with their total commitment to Jewish Care. We are incredibly grateful to them and everyone who took part in the tournament. The funds raised are vital and will help support our investment in PPE, rapid Covid-19 testing, Meals on Wheels deliveries, telephone befriending calls, and our expanded range of online activities and support for older members of the community.”
