More than 130 guests raised an outstanding £100,000 for Jewish Care’s dementia care services at Jewish Care’s 29th Bridge Extravaganza, which has now raised over £2.5 million since the event began.
Organised by the dedicated Bridge Extravaganza Committee, the day at the elegant Nobu Hotel Portman Square included bridge, a celebratory lunch, raffle and trophy presentation.
Joint Chairs Patsy Bloom and Susan James said: ““Congratulations to all our raffle and trophy winners, and a heartfelt thank you to our guests for their incredible generosity.
“As the number of people living with dementia continues to grow, the vital funds we raise help Jewish Care’s dementia day centres provide award-winning, specialist support that is a lifeline for people living with dementia and their families.”
Ellisa Estrin, Jewish Care’s Director of Fundraising & Marketing, said: “We are immensely grateful to our co-chairs, Patsy and Susan, and to the dedicated Committee whose hard work and commitment have helped make this event such a success year after year.
“The Bridge Extravaganza is a fantastic fixture in our fundraising calendar, bringing people together while raising vital funds for our community dementia services which rely entirely on the generosity of Jewish Care supporters and receive no government funding.”
