Marcus Says, “Jewish Care is a cause very close to my heart, and I am truly honoured to be taking up the role of Chairman. The organisation has an exceptional Board of Trustees and an incredibly talented team of staff and volunteers led by CEO, Daniel Carmel-Brown. I am very much looking forward to working alongside all of them, partnering with them, to ensure that we continue to reach and provide care to clients and their families in our community who need our support. It is a privilege to be part of Jewish Care’s critical work and to be able to give back to the Jewish and wider community.
“I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of the outgoing Chairman, Jonathan Zenios, for his immense leadership and dedication to Jewish Care. His commitment and dedication have helped to grow and strengthen the organisation. Having worked tirelessly through some of our most challenging periods, including navigating the organisation through a pandemic, Jonathan also aligned our pay strategy with the London Living Wage, ensuring we recruit and retain the most talented staff, and completed our wonderful Sandringham development. We are incredibly grateful for his commitment and wish him all the very best, knowing he will always be an exceptional friend to Jewish Care.
“As my term begins, I not only feel a weight of responsibility, but am also looking forward to building on Jonathan’s legacy and the legacies of the many exceptional Chairs that have preceded me.”
