This Chanukah, Jewish Care are launching an ‘8 days of Chanucare’ campaign.
For most of us, this Chanukah will feel different. For the vulnerable, older Jewish members of the community they are understandably worrying about current events, whilst facing their own challenges closer to home. Jewish Care wants to show the community how they will be continuing to brighten up the lives of clients during the 8 days of Chanucare and all year round. The funds raised will continue to help Jewish Care celebrate festivals and Jewish life across the resources.
Jewish Care doesn’t do all of this for just eight days a year but are consistently working hard to touch the lives of over 10,000 people every single week.
Daniel Carmel-Brown, Jewish Care CEO, said, “Through our community centres, dementia day centres, care homes, retirement living schemes, care buses, Meals-on-Wheels, and the Jewish Care Direct helpline (to highlight just a handful of the many critical services we provide), we are enabling people to remain connected to their Jewish identity, live with dignity and receive the care they need.”
“We’re stronger when we look after each other, which is why we provide support where it is needed most and why we call this time of year Chanucare.”
