Earlier this week, Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis was given a landmark tour of our Sandringham campus by Jewish Care’s Chief Executive, Daniel Carmel-Brown.
The Chief Rabbi met with members, tenants, residents, volunteers and staff to see how Sandringham is used day-to-day by the community. His visit included seeing a tea and dance activity with members at The Ronson Family Community Centre, meeting with staff at The Zalman and Ruchi Noe Centre for people living with dementia, understanding the digital support service that JC Explore provides, an introduction to some of our hospitality team to hear about our Housekeeping and Chef Academies for staff, a visit to Anita Dorfman House care home to meet residents and understand the approach we take to residential care, a visit to see one of our Pears Court retirement living apartments, and last but not least, a tour of Piaf’s Garden, the water fountains, and the beautiful grounds at Sandringham.
The Chief Rabbi commented, “It’s so wonderful to be here in this marvellous centre and congratulations to Jewish Care on this spectacular world class facility for our community.”
Jewish Care’s Chief Executive, Daniel Carmel-Brown said, “We were delighted to be able to share our beautiful Sandringham campus with the Chief Rabbi and showcase a selection of the services we have on offer. This truly is a hub of care and activity serving the South Hertfordshire community.”
