Previous winners of this award include a Meals on Wheels driver; a reading group facilitator.
- Has created or implemented an innovative or creative project involving Jewish Care service users
- Ensures that the project meets the values of Jewish Care and enhances the experience of all
Previous winners of this award include a gardening team that helped change the landscape of the garden for the residents.
- Have helped a resource or the organisation more generally to ensure that our services retain the Jewish in Jewish Care
- Demonstrates their respect of the diverse practices and beliefs of those who use the services of Jewish Care
- Has demonstrated their understanding of what is meaningful to those who use the Jewish services of Jewish Care
- This can be an individual or a group
Previous winners of this award include kiddush and synagogue volunteers at Anita Dorfman House and a volunteer at Vi and John Rubens House who brings Judaism into the home through music, prayer and activities.
- Volunteer of the year award for excellence in all round volunteering
- Someone who goes above & beyond, making an outstanding contribution to the organisation and its values
- This prestigious award is for a volunteer that demonstrates Jewish Care values in everything they do
- Has been volunteering for at least 5 years
- A collaboration of excellent teamwork supporting staff and managers of a service or resource
- A minimum of two people. e.g. a couple, friends or family members
- Demonstrates effectiveness in fundraising for Jewish Care
- Raises the profile of the organisation through their activity
- Demonstrates the values of Jewish Care
- Adds value and strengthens community through their fundraising activities
Previous winners of this award include the Chair of the Betty and Asher Loftus Centre fundraising committee; the Friends of Stepney committee.
- Does not actively seek recognition for their volunteering
- Has received no formal recognition from Jewish Care
- Demonstrates their commitment to promoting meaningful lives for people who use the services of the organisation
- Has been volunteering for at least 3 years
- Is involved in the organisational process in a particular area of a service, working well with staff and other volunteers
- Involves actions or effort that improve efficiency, effectiveness or reliability of a service or process within Jewish Care
Previous winners of this award include lay leaders, trustees and committee members, shop volunteers and volunteer coordinators.
- Is between the ages of 14 and 30
- Has been volunteering for at least 6 months during the past year
- Demonstrates a special relationship within Jewish Care that shows their commitment to the promotion of meaningful lives
- Demonstrates a strengthening of community
- Brings creativity to their volunteering role
- This can be an individual or a group
- Demonstrates that their involvement empowers service users and makes a difference
- Has created an outstanding relationship with the person/people
- Takes a person-centred approach in all they do
- There is no time limit to how long they have volunteered
