Jewish Care is delighted to announce that after a rigorous recruitment process, Ellisa Estrin has been appointed as Jewish Care’s Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
Ellisa has worked in various Fundraising, Customer Journey, and Marketing roles at Jewish Care over the last 14 years, and has served as Director of Marketing, Communications & Customer Engagement for the last 5 years. Prior to working at Jewish Care, she held fundraising positions at the NSPCC, the RNID, and Guide Dogs for the Blind, as well as a range of fundraising and marketing roles at several prominent agencies, overseeing accounts for WWF, Plan UK, The Salvation Army, John Lewis, and Vodafone.
Given the recent announcement Jewish Care shared about the planned integration of Jami within Jewish Care, the organisation has decided to bring the Jewish Care marketing and communications team back together with the fundraising team. This model has existed previously and will bring with it a merger of two core Jewish Care departments. This comes at an exciting and important time for the organisation and renews our commitment to work together with Jami colleagues and extend our collective fundraising reach beyond the existing target of a combined £21million campaign.
The Jewish community’s care and support needs are growing, we are ageing, dementia is on the rise and mental ill health is more prevalent in children, young people and adults. With more people in our community of all ages needing Jewish Care and Jami services, it has never been more important than now that the fundraising, branding and marketing is united and has the leadership to ensure greater funds are raised, wider reach and a strengthened voice.
Speaking of the new appointment, Jewish Care CEO, Daniel Carmel-Brown commented “Ellisa will bring the right strategic experience, skills, and passion to help lead the organisation through this exciting and challenging time of change.
“I know everyone will be supportive and that she will work closely alongside our lay leadership including our Life President Lord Levy, President Steven Lewis and Chairman Jonathan Zenios, along with the wider senior fundraising lay leadership team and the professional team who continue to play a significant part in raising funds for our vital services by our wonderful and generous community”.
