Sandringham's Anita Dorfman House is part of Jewish Care’s newest residential offering. This exciting development has opened with Wolfson Assisted Living. Together they have replaced the former Princess Alexandra Home, maintaining and growing its community of residents, staff and volunteers, whilst providing brand new facilities.
Purpose-built to the highest standards, Anita Dorfman House is a care home that provides brand new facilities and quality care in a modern, Jewish environment.
64 en-suite rooms are arranged across 4 intimate hubs of 16 rooms, encouraging the development of individual relationships between staff and residents and providing a more personal way of living. Each hub forms a household comprised of its own dining/kitchen area serving tasty and nutritious Kosher food, in addition to one or more lounge areas for day-to-day socialising and activities. These lounge areas also provide the perfect setting for more intimate moments with relatives and visitors. Each of the four households receive direct sunlight and face out to beautiful woodland vistas or to the large central courtyard.
Sandringham's Wolfson Assisted Living is located on-site, where residents have the opportunity to live in an apartment with access to care whilst benefitting from all meals and housekeeping provided for them.

FOOD
A tasty, nutritious and Kosher meal for every breakfast, lunch and supper.
Anita Dorfman House is supervised by the Kosher London Beth Din (KLBD), using fully kosher certified food products and suppliers.
We place traditional Jewish values at the heart of all we do at Jewish Care and that’s why we ensure that every breakfast, lunch and supper served in our care homes is tasty, nutritional and Kosher.
Our team of skilled chefs plan and prepare a varied menu each week and meet regularly with residents and their relatives to ensure that every palette is catered for.
Mealtimes are social times in our care homes, and we are committed to ensuring that each resident is able to enjoy a tasty Kosher meal. We understand that some residents may face difficulty swallowing their food (dysphagia), which is why we work in partnership with Hospital Kosher Meals Service (HKMS) to provide a wide variety of enjoyable and nutritional pureed Kosher meals.
Traditional foods that help our residents remember and mark key moments in the Jewish calendar are part of everyday life at all of our homes. Challah on Shabbat, doughnuts for Chanukah, honey cake for Rosh Hashanah and hamantaschen for Purim are all part of what makes Jewish life so important in our homes.
